HUMPHREY, Robert A. Born May 22, 1926. Passed away August 26, 2015. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. Bob is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughter Susan and spouse Michael; daughter Victoria and spouse Scott; stepchildren, Kelly, Susan, Dale, Don and Diane; granddaughters, Allison, Nicole and Tiffany; grandsons, Sean and Brian and great-grandchildren, Sofia and Caleb. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Billie, his beloved first wife, Lorraine, his son Jim and grandson Michael. A Navy veteran of World War II, Bob piloted the landing craft that delivered troops that fought the battle of Okinawa. He was known as 'the entertainer' by his shipmates for playing his accordion on the ship. A long time employee of GE, he retired in 1986. Prior to retiring he also opened 'The Yogurt Machine,' the first frozen yogurt shop in the Antelope Valley. A celebration of Bobs life will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015, 11 am, at the Lancaster Elks Lodge.Donations in memory of Bob can be made to the Lancaster Elks.
