STOUT, Helen Gailey Keeton
STOUT, Helen Gailey Keeton Born on April 26, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Harry McNary Gailey and Leota Lott Gailey, passed away July 18, 2015 in Lancaster. Calif. The family moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in 1928. Helen received her BA from UCLA in June 1941 and married Henry C.S. Keeton 3 days later. Henry graduated from San Francisco Theological Seminary and served 5 Presbyterian churches in 47 years. Helen was actively and involved in the ministries. Helen taught elementary schools in Calif. 28 years; 25 of those years were at Westside Union School District, retiring in 1983. Helen was a member of CalRTA (Retired Teachers), Little Ohs and Ahs Miniatures, AV Genealogy Society, West Antelope Valley Historical Society, Leona Valley Birthday Group, AAUW, Lancaster Presbyterian Church and volunteered 25 years at AV Hospital and CURVES. Helen married Roy D. Stout of Lake Elizabeth, Calif. in 1997, after her husband Rev. Henry Keetons death in 1989. Helen leaves behind her daugthers, Elizabeth (David) DuBois, Donna (Dean) Nulton; sons, Hank (Norma Jean) Keeton, Bruce (Lena) Keeton and David (Felicia) Keeton; 9 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Rev. Keeton, 1989, her sister Lois Anne Krig, 2008 and Roy Stout, 2012. Services will be held at 11 am, August 1, 2015 at Lancaster Presbyterian Church, 1661 W. Lancaster Blvd. Arrangements handled by Joshua Memorial Park , Lancaster
