HENNESSY, Donald C. Born on Oct. 20, 1925 in Lone Tree, N.D. Passed away on July 6, 2015. Donald joined the USMC at 18 and fought during World War II on Guam and Okinawa, receiving the Purple Heart. Donald and his family settled in the Antelope Valley in 1962, where he remained the duration of his life, retiring from Northrop Grumman at 65, he had close to 40 years in the aerospace industry. Preceding him in death is his wife of 52 years, Joy. He is survived by 2 daughters, Linda (John) and Dawn (Steve); 2 granddaughters, Emily (Jeff) and Erin; 5 great granddaughters, Brenna, Kylee, Bella, Tara and Keira. Gathering starting at 4pm, with rosary at 7pm, Mon. July 13, 2015 at Halley Olsen Murphy Funeral , 44831 N Cedar Ave., Lancaster, CA. Mass will be held at 10am, Tues. July 14, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 565 W. Kettering St., Lancaster, CA. Burial to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 43121 70th St. W. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sacred Heart Church: In Memory of Donald Hennessy Building Campaign.
