GROSSI, Mario A Born Sept. 3, 1949 in Santa Monica, Calif. Passed away May 4, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Mario was in the first graduating class at QHHS. He participated in band and also played varsity football. Mario was a veteran of the USAF. He was the owner of Mario's Music in Lancaster where thousands of young students studied privately. Mario also repaired instruments for the majority of schools in the Antelope Valley. He was a talented and sought-after multi-instrumentalist who played with many groups including The Legends, The Del-Aires and Anton Schnitzel & the Merry Makers. He performed musical theatre and played for his church worship team. He is survived by his wife, Dana (Wickham) Grossi; a sister Christina Bermudez (William); his four children, Lisa Blacker (Andy), Anthony Grossi, Mario Grossi, and Katie Burt (Jake) and six grandchildren. Interment services will be held at 2 pm, June 19, 2015 at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, CA. There will be a Celebration of Life and Jam Session at 5 pm, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 719 Columbia Way. This will be a potluck. For further information, contact Lisa Blacker at 661 435 1747.
