JERNIGAN, Edward Age 94, born in Portales, New Mexico on Nov. 19, 1920, passed away May 28, 2015 in Lancaster, Calif. Edward served with honor in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He owned Dry Cleaners in Tatum, N.M. and Palmdale, Calif., and a walnut tree farm in Visalia until retiring to Quartz Hill in 1986. He was a member of the Lancaster First Assembly of God church. Edward is survived by his son Larry (Sandy) of Quartz Hill; four grandchildren, Christofer, Jeffery, Leevon Eisele and Jenny Corcoran; nine great-grandchildren and his dog Chico. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50yrs. Juanita and his second wife, Gloria. Services will be held at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals & Cremations, 44831 Cedar Avenue, Lancaster. Viewing will be held from 3pm to 7pm, June 4, 2015 and Funeral services at 10am, June 5, 2015. Interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Palmdale. A reception immediately following at the Lancaster Greenhouse CafŽ. He was loved and respected by family and friends.
