PATTERSON, Sarah Bernice (Bema
PATTERSON, Sarah Bernice (Bema) Sarah passed with peace and grace in her home on Monday, May 11, 2015 after enjoying a beautiful Mother's Day with her family. Bernice was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Patterson, of 68 years. Bernice was born in Oklahoma in 1921 and lived on a cotton farm with her six sisters. She married, then moved to Lancaster California in 1941. She worked for Polaris Flight Academy and the Egg Growers' Association before she and Wesley started their own business 'Patterson Trucking Company'. In their late 50's, they sold their business and began a new adventure working with their son in Real Estate where she worked every day until the age of 85. Bernice anchored her life in Christ and was a 'Prayer Warrior'. She was also devoted to her family. She is survived by her son Burl Patterson, daughter-in-law Patricia Patterson; grandchildren, Lori Fischer, Debi Patterson, Todd Patterson; great grandchildren, Jarod Patterson, Lindsey Hanley, Courtney Fischer and Slade Fischer; great-great- grandchildren, Walker and Rylan Hanley; her sisters, Oleta Williams, Faye and Jack Abney and Lavina and John Weaver; cousin Clyde and Helen Baldwin plus many nephews and nieces. We loved her very much. A life well lived. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Children's Center of the Antelope Valley. Services will be held today at 1 pm, at Joshua Memorial Park , Lancaster
