OCHS, Darwin Miller
OCHS, Darwin Miller Age 71, passed away March 15, 2015 in Lancaster, California. Darwin was born in Long Beach, California and has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1967. He was a member of the Lancaster 1st Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the California Teachers Association. Darwin retired in 2002 from Antelope Valley High School after teaching chemistry for 35 years. His favorite past time was fishing at Twin Lakes in Bridgeport, California and he was known to frequently register his opinion in the Antelope Valley Press Letters to the Editor. Darwin is survived by his wife Connie, four childre; Frank Ochs (spouse, Chase) of Nevada, Sara Ochs and David Ochs (spouse, Brooke), both of Utah, and Emma Phillips (spouse, Ashton) of North Carolina, two siblings; David Ochs of Lake Arrowhead and Doreen Long of La Mesa, and five grandsons. A Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals & Cremations, Lancaster. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 28, 2015 with a Visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.; both to be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1701 West Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster. The Interment will follow at Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster.
