SKINNER, Lynne Mary
SKINNER, Lynne Mary Born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Leo and Arlene Hawkins on February 7, 1955. Her soul transitioned to heaven in her home in Quartz Hill, Calif., surrounded in love by her family on February 1, 2015. Lynne grew up in Newhall, Calif., and attended school at De La Salle and Alemany High School. She was the oldest of 5 children and was always a responsible and caring daughter and sister. She was also a devoted 2nd grade teacher at Columbia Elementary School and had a teaching career in the Antelope Valley for over 20 years. She was the most amazing mother to her three children and an incredibly loving wife to her husband. She was an avid traveler, an animal lover, a domestic goddess, a community volunteer and a light in the lives of so many. She will be incredibly missed by her students and fellow teachers, her church community at Father Serra Parish, her bingo buddies, countless friends and all of her family members. She is survived by her husband Paul Skinner; her two sons, Luke and Jacob Skinner; her daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Nathan Fox; her grandpups, Pickle and Peaches; her mother Arlene Hawkins and 4 siblings, Leo, Annette, Diane, Greg and their families. Lynne's Wake and Remembrance Services will be held from 4-8 pm, Monday, February 9, 2015 with a rosary said in her honor at 6pm at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremations. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Father Serra Parish. Let us help celebrate her beautiful soul home.
