ROCHA, William 'Billy Ray' Billy Ray was born on February 4th, 1955 in Fall River, Massachusetts and passed away on December 21st, 2014 in California. He was a beloved fiancŽ, brother, dad, grandfather, uncle, and co-worker; but most importantly, he was a great friend to those who knew him. He is survived by his fiancŽ, Cathy Calma; her children and their spouses, Daniel Mundt, Marissa and Michael Suszek, Erik De Lima, Quirino Mundt; He is also survived by his daughter, Katy Pope and her children Tatum and Jayden; his brothers, Joel and Wendy Rocha, Paul Rocha; numerous nieces and nephews. Billy Ray loved his country and served proudly for 20 years. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force in 2001. Billy Ray began his Air Force Civil Service career in 2002 with the 412th Range Squadron as a Range Control Officer and eventually the Chief of Range Control. He left DAF and worked as the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center Range Operations Chief. Billy Ray loved the outdoors and had an even greater love for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Billy Ray will be laid to rest on January 24th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary in Lancaster, Calif. Services will be officiated by Larry Pratt. A reception will follow the service at the VFW-Post 3000 in Quartz Hill, Calif. All are welcomed to attend and celebrate Billy Ray's life.
