LUDWIGS, Bernice M
LUDWIGS, Bernice M Age 95, born May 3, 1919, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Annabells Cottage in Palmdale Calif. She lived in areas around Craig, Akron and Chatsworth, Iowa. On November 30, 1939 she married Gerd Ludwigs, they were married 62 years. They lived on several farms in that area and near Vermillion, S.D. They moved to Lancaster, Calif., in March 1956 after deciding to quit farming. She and her husband worked at the Antelope Valley Inn for 20 years before retiring. Over the years, as a hobby, they built many miniatures. Bernice won several ribbons on her miniatures and Best of Show one year at the Antelope Valley Fair. They were charter members of the Lutheran Church of the Master in Lancaster. For several years she made and embroidered the baptismal cloths for the church. She also made many of the church symbols for the church Christmas tree. She is survived by her daughter Betty Ziarnick, and great-grandson David Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerd Ludwigs; four sisters, Emma, Viola, Ester and Emile; her brother Alvin and granddaughter Tammy Ferree. Services will be held at 10:30 am, Wed. Dec. 31, 2014 at Luthern of the Masters Church, Lancaster, with burial at Joshua Memorial Park , Lancaster
