MORGAN, Terry W.
MORGAN, Terry W. A native of Pennsylvania, and longtime resident of California, passed away Dec. 5, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Terry worked 10 years for the Bell Telephone system in Pennsylvania before moving his family to California in 1967. Terry started a career with GTE/Verizon that spanned 29 years during which he worked a variety of different jobs including lineman, PBX/PABX installer/ repairman, foreman, and repair supervisor. Terry took great pride in his work and was known for his meticulous attention to detail; a perfect wiring job was immediately recognizable as a 'Morgan B-Box or terminal' by his co-workers. He was the only GTE employee allowed to work on the telecommunica- tions systems at the residence of the GTE Company president and at then Gov. Ronald Reagan's residence in Pacific Palisades. Terry could build and/or fix anything - 'the impossible just took a little longer.' He loved working with his hands and would spend hours outdoors maintaining and constantly improving his yards. Terry's real passion, aside from his family, was fishing - anytime, anywhere, as often as possible. He was a devoted family man, taking great pride and delight in his children and grandchildren. Terry leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Norene; daughters, Cheryl Harmon (Ron), Dianna Coronado (Steven), Kimberly Dionisi (Ed); sisters, Lynne Watt, Judy Cavallo (Richard), and Gail Morgan; grandchildren, Christine, Bruce, Shannon, Dawn, Tim, Kassidy, and Jeremiah, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Sat., Dec. 13, 2014 at 9:30 am, (viewing at 8:30 am) at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremations, in Lancaster followed by internment at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster.
