CORBISIER, Maurice 'Corby' Age 81,was born in Escanaba, Mich. on Feb. 28, 1933, passed away Nov. 27, 2014. He served his country in the USAF as a flight mechanic on the F86 during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to 8 and great-grandfather to 13. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Renea Liske (Mike) of Lake Isabella, Calif., Kim Garcia (Jeff) of Lancaster, Calif., Vicki Hjelmstrom of Castaic, Calif.; sons, Stuart Noel of Tehachapi, Calif., and Gary Gomez (Jeanne) of Littlerock, Calif.; brother, Dale Corbisier (Mary) of Tenn. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, David and late wife Mary; grandson, Shaun, and granddaughter, Christina. Maurice lived and went to school in Cornell, Escanaba and Stevenson, Mich., growing up. He moved to Lancaster in 1956 and worked at Plant 42 as a fireman, a repair tech for Sears, and the Dept. of Defence at EAFB and retired in 1994. He was a 35 yr. member of the Lancaster Elks #1625. Maurice loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter, and traveled to 49 states with his wife in their motorhome. He was very loved by all his family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests anyone wishing to donate to the Elks National Foundation in his name may do so. Call Elks Lodge at (661) 942-1625. A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm, Sat., Dec. 6, 2014 at 9104 West Ave. F, Lancaster.
