KELTNER, Thomas W.
KELTNER, Thomas W Born Jan. 5, 1953 in Lancaster, Calif., to George & Ann Keltner, passed away in Lancaster on Nov. 19, 2014. Thom was a native of Lancaster, a 61 year and 10 month resident of the AV. He was also a member of the Ottawa Indian tribe of Oklahoma and was proud of his heritage. He was schooled at Mariposa Elementary, Piute Jr. High, A.V. High School and AV College. He was manager for Keltner Van & Storage; Aerospace, Lockheed, Surface Supervisor, Dept. of Defense. He accomplished 23 years, of service at Edwards AFB, Civil Engineering Squadron, 10 years as surface/pavement supervisor. He enjoyed drag racing, outdoor living, family, Lake Havasu and fishing. Thom leaves behind his best friend and wife of 33 years, Lenny; son, John (Meegan); daughter, Tamara Carr (Jason); grandchildren, Devon and Cole Carr, and J.T. and Lacy Keltner; parents, George and Anne Keltner; brother, Jerry (Debra). Thom cherished his children and grandchildren very much. He had many longtime friends and family members he grew up with and was always happy to see and visit with each of them. Thom always had kind words and was proud of the accomplishments of his family members. He thought highly of his children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, as well as his mom, dad and brother. Thom will be missed but never forgotten. Per Thom's request no service will be held. The Keltner families have invited all who knew and loved Thom to a celebration of his life at 2 pm, Dec. 14, 2014 at the Lancaster Elks Lodge, 240 E. Avenue K. It will be a time of remembrance and friendships in honor of the man we all knew and loved.
