PHILLIPPI, Allan P.
PHILLIPPI, Allan P. Age 70, died suddenly in his home, Oct. 1, 2014, in Lancaster, California. He was born Nov. 22, 1943 in Natrona Heights. Son of the late Guy and Katharine Phillippi. Allan was a 1961 graduate of Har-Brack High School. A 20 yr. Navy veteran serving several tours on board the USS Constellation in Vietnam as a photographer. After leaving the service, he did some freelance photography for many well known stars, including John Wayne and Don Rickles among others. He was an Academic Counselor, at Antelope Valley College until his retirement. He enjoyed photography, graphic design, the Steelers, and his beloved cats. He is survived by a son, Brian of Lancaster, Calif.; step-daughter, Heather (John) Fuller of Viera, Fla., and step-grandsons, Logan and Dylan; brother, Daryl (Marie) Phillippi of Portland, Ore., and sister, Beverly (Dennis) Klaric of New Kensington, Pa., and numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Katherine; brothers, Jack, Fred and Dean. Burial at Arlington Cemetary, Washington, D.C.
