EASTERLING, Sr., Glen Creston
EASTERLING, Sr., Glen Creston Age 82, born June 24, 1932 in Yuma, Ariz., passed away Sept. 2, 2014 at the Palmdale Regional Hospital. Glen grew up in Coachella Valley, Calif., and graduated from Central Union High School in El Centro, Calif. A 55 year resident of the AV, he was arguably one of the most civil minded people of the Antelope Valley as LA County Fire Department, an Elk, a Moose, a Lion, a Rotarian, Optimist and President of the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce. He was the original promoter of the Palmdale International Raceway (LACR) and a most avid golfer based out of Crystalaire country club. He had many career fields, a LA County Fire Chief, soda jerk, liquor connoisseur, maximum contractor, Thespian, Jimmy Rigger, hydroplane racer, on and off track race car driver, a self appointed candidate for antiques roadshow and a Song Bird. He was a Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Glen is survived by his greatest love, Nancy Hall; children, Glen Easterling, Jr., Casandra Miska, Melissa Costales, and Heidi Easterling; 18 grandchildren, and 13-1/3 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, Sept.14, 2014 Crystalaire country club. Share your memories with all his dearly loved family and friends at www.glen.easterling.muchloved.com.
