As a young woman, Ruth worked as a bookkeeper for a large department store. In 1948 she met and married Harris W. Cushman (Bud) a California boy while he was in the US Navy stationed in Va. They moved to California and raised 4 children. Ruth taught Sunday school for over 15 years at the Southern Baptist Church in Rosamond and dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and friend. Ruth will be missed and remembered for her unselfishness, thoroughness, loyalty, her ability to love unconditionally, give to anyone in need, her singing, yodeling, humor, storytelling, teaching, advising, and comforting. She left us peacefully from her home in Rosamond and has joined her beloved Bud and sons Harris W. (Buddy) and Michael J. (Mikie). Thank you Heavenly Father for the precious time we had with her and please help us to apply what she has taught us to our lives so that we may be with her again someday.
