JOHNSON, Bettie Lucile Moise
JOHNSON, Bettie Lucile Moise Born in San Pedro, Calif., on Sept. 7, 1925, passed away in Lancaster, Calif., on June 30, 2014. Bettie moved to the Antelope Valley in 1928, with parents Herbert & Lucile and siblings Mary, Jack, Herbert and Tony. Preceded in death in 1993 by her husband of 47 years, Dick Johnson. Bettie was involved in many church and community groups such as Lancaster Womens Club, Emblem Club, Ladies Auxilliary and Christian Womens Club. Bettie was 2003 Womans Clubs ÔWoman of the Year and honored for 50 years service by the Antelope Valley Fair in 2013. Bettie had a great love for sewing, crafting and her extensive doll collection. Bettie is survived by her children, Rick Johnson (Lynnette) of Irvine and Becky Wright of Palmdale; 4 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be graveside at Joshua Memorial Cemetary at 10 am, Friday, July 18, 2014. A memorial gathering immediately following at the home of Tom and Mercedes Marshall in Palmdale.
