STRATMAN, Richard A.
STRATMAN, Richard A. Born March 21, 1930, in Huron, South Dakota, died peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his home in Quartz Hill. Richard was raised on a farm in South Dakota. He had a long and successful career, including a tour in the U.S. Navy, 12 years at the Bureau of Reclamation, and 20 years at NASA Dryden where he retired as personnel director. He was a devout Catholic, was active in the Elks Lodge, enjoyed golf, and was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife Dorothy whom he was married to for 64 years. He is also survived by sons, Steve and Dan; daughters, Debbie and Judy; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 13 siblings. He was preceded in death by his son Jim, his brother Leonard, his sister Rose, and his granddaughter Becky. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Father Serra Parish, 42121 60th St W, Lancaster
