BARON, Robert Steven Bob
BARON, Robert 'Bob' Steven Born on Aug. 6, 1939 in New York, passed away June 6, 2014 in Lancaster, Calif. A 50 year resident of AV he was aka "NASA Bob" and dedicated 40 years of his life to NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. He worked on many historic flights such as the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (LLRV) and the Space Shuttle. Coach Baron contributed over 20 years of his life to promoting youth sports in the Antelope Valley. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Gavin); his daughter, Cynthia Maevers (Eric French); his son R. Sean Baron, (Linda Reel), 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. His enthusiasm for life was "Outstanding," his favorite response. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at Father Serra Parish, 42121 60th St., in Quartz Hill.
