MACDONALD, Phyllis After a brave and valiant battle with kidney disease, that lasted over a decade, Phyllis Macdonald passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was surrounded by her family. Phyllis was born in Santa Barbara on January 20, 1933. She married the love of her life, Ray Macdonald, in 1955, and moved to Lancaster. She must have really been in love to move from Santa Barbara to Lancaster. Ray and Phyllis led an active life, and enjoyed traveling and camping. They were active in the Lancaster Elks Camper Club, and Bowling League. Phyllis was a long time member of the Desert Alphas and Lancaster Womans Club. Ray preceded her in death in 2004. She leaves behind her son, Glen Macdonald and Sindy Stanton, and her daughter, Leslie and Leslies husband Tom Fuller. Phyllis left grandkids, Shelly and Emily Fuller, Taylor Stanton, and Heather, and her husband Bobby Lipe. She also leaves great-granchildren Robbie and Blake Lipe. A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Friday, March 14, 2014 at Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster. A reception at Antelope Valley Country Club will follow immediately after. In lieu of flowers, Phyllis requested donations be made to your favorite charity. Her favorite is the Lancaster Womans Club, P.O. Box 2041, Lancaster CA 93539. She also requested that you all take a friend to lunch.
