SHAFFSTALL, Denver Maurice
SHAFFSTALL, Denver Maurice Born July 13, 1932 in Lancaster, Maurice passed away on February 19, 2014 in Palmdale. Maurice was an 81 year resident of the Antelope Valley graduating from Antelope Valley High School in 1950. Maurice was a lathing, plastering, and scaffolding contractor in the Antelope Valley for over 30 years, owning JMS Plastering Company and Akron Scaffolding. He was a member of the Lancaster chapter of the BPO Elks for over 50 years. He was an active supporter of local artists and in the 1970s was an early sponsor of youth football in the Antelope Valley. He was an avid boater and active in the Desert Boat Club in the 1960s. Maurice is survived by his wife, Shirley Nobel; two sons, Mark and Timothy; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Shaffstall. His burial took place on February 28, 2014 at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster CA.
