ROLLINS, Ida Darlene (Atchley)
ROLLINS, Darlene (Atchley) Born on May 18, 1927 in Hermleigh, Texas, to Joseph and Lillie Atchley, the third child of four. She married Harold 'H.D.' Rollins in August 1947. Harold worked for Standard Oil/Chevron for the rest of his life. Darlene ran the office as he became a wholesale distributor, a commission agent and finally, a jobber for Chevron, moving from Ivanhoe to Kingsburg to Corcoran and finally settling in the Mojave area in 1972. Harold passed away in September of 1982, but Darlene continued to operate their jobbership for several years, becoming the first woman jobber that Chevron ever had. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Bergeron, Clark of S.D.; a son, Richard Rollins of Canon City, Colo.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way. Graveside services will be held at 10 am, Feb. 20, 2014 at Mojave Cemetery.
