KELLY, Patrick
In Loving Memory Patrick Kelly Loving son, brother and friend, Patrick Bernard Kelly passed on to the hereafter on January 24, 2014 after a long and heroic battle with cancer and related complications. Born in Lancaster, California on May 17, 1957 to Verna Lou and Jim Kelly, Pat is survived by his mother, Verna Lou Power; sister, Suzanne; brothers, Jim and Bill; his nieces Alana and Brianna, and his nephews Sean (also his godson), Joshua, Caleb, Mike and Trevor, and preceded in death by brothers Mike and Sean and his father Jim. Also surviving him are his stepfather, Jerry Power; relations, Jim and Nada McClean, Dan McClean and Gail McClean and his remarkable caregiver, Audrey Moore and her granddaughter Kailah. Pat graduated from Quartz Hill High School in 1975 where he was a star on the varsity basketball team. He then went on to secure an AA degree from Antelope Valley College. A 35+ year general building contractor in the Antelope Valley, Pat also spent several years pursuing his passion as a sports agent for professional basketball. He loved his family, his friends and his menagerie of animals. A compassionate and engaging soul, Pat also leaves behind a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly. In celebration of Pat's life, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 beginning at 1 pm at the Black Angus Restaurant in Lancaster.
