PENGILLEY, William Richard
PENGILLEY, William Richard 'Dick' Born Feb. 7, 1939 in Herrin, Ill. Passed away suddenly at home in Rosamond Jan. 19, 2014. His family moved to the AV when he was 3. He graduated from AV High in 1959. He was in the Army and was stationed in Germany for 2 years. He was a union Carpenter; Local #743 (50 year member) and a General Contractor. He founded Desert Construction in 1966 with his father Bill and brother Bob. Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His greatest joy was his family especially his grandchildren. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty; sons, Steven (Ayndrea), Jeff (Karolina); sister, Patty; grandchildren, Kali, Ariauna, Evie, and Nate. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Pengilley and Penny Calhoun, and brothers Bob and George. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm. Saturday Feb. 8, 2845 80th St. West, Rosamond.
