KELEMEN, Laszlo 81 of Franklin, N.C., passed away Dec. 17, 2013. Born in Hungary on Sept. 21, 1932, he immigrated his family to the United States in 1957 to Ellis Island. After living in Connecticut and Colorado, he moved his family to Littlerock, Calif. in 1965 where he worked as a local truck driver for many years, and as a surgery orderly at Swan Memorial Hospital, later known as Palmdale General Hospital on Avenue S. In his later years he moved to Franklin, N.C. where he became a 'Wal-Mart' greeter, a job well suited for him. He is preceded in death by his first wife Ilona Kelemen (1983) and his son Laszlo Kelemen Jr. (1993) He is survived by his wife Loretta Kelemen of Franklin, N.C., daughter Ilona Kelemen of Lancaster, Calif., two grandsons, Robert Phillips and James Phillips (Christina); four great-grandsons, Kyle, Eric, Brice and Dane all from Calif. and his only great-granddaughter Melissa Dugan Smith (John) of Atlanta, Ga. As per my fathers wishes, he will be cremated with memorial services being held at a later date.... R.I.P. Apu.. your laughter will be missed...
