SULLIVAN, Carolyn T. Known to all as 'Snookie,' passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 surrounded by family. She was the fourth of five children born to William and Anna O'Donnell on April 5, 1938 in Bayonne, New Jersey. She married Joseph M. Sullivan on September 5, 1959. They moved to San Diego in 1965 where Joe retired from the Navy. They moved to Bakersfield in 1968 before settling in Lancaster in 1974. During her longtime residency in the Antelope Valley, she was active with the Local Regional Center, MS Society, Desert Haven Enterprises, and Easter Seals. Snookie was an avid reader and an enthusiastic traveler -- her favorite vacation spot being Cancun, Mexico. She enjoyed her morning coffee, music, good food, meeting new people, and throwing swim parties for family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by her 5 children and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years in 2010. She is survived by her children Mary Reed (Michael), Patty Webster (Kipp), Joanne 'Jody' Sharp (Ron), Eileen Wenzel (Robert), and son Timothy; grandchildren Kenneth Baas (Melissa), Angela Baas, Benjamin Sullivan, Emma Reed, Samantha Lopez (Josh), Houston Sharp, Kelly Sharp, and Natalie Wenzel. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home, 1631 West Ave. L, on Sunday, January 12, 2013 at 1 pm. For more details please call 661-225-7465. No flowers please.
