JOHNSON, Andrew Tyler
JOHNSON, Andrew Tyler Oct. 28, 1986 ~ Oct. 16, 2013 Andrew age 26, of Caldwell, Texas died peacefully at his home in Lake Jackson, Texas after many years of fighting through numerous seizures. He was born in Lancaster, Calif., to Sam and Char (Kincaid) Johnson. He attended Caldwell schools and graduated from Caldwell High School in 2005, where he was a proud member of the Fighting Hornet Band as well as very involved in the school art program, winning numerous awards along the way. After high school, Andrew attended Texas State Technical College and Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services. Andrew was well known and loved in the Caldwell community from his years working at Video Plus. After moving to Houston he worked at Collector's Firearms where he found a love for classic firearms and military memorabilia. He was presently working as a provisional funeral director at Restwood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson. Andrew had regular jobs, but because of his love for drawing, he was frequently found at the local Starbucks and Hastings where he met many of his art customers. He was currently working on illustrating a children's book that is due out next year. Andrew is survived by his father Sam Johnson and stepmother Angie; mother Char Kincaid of Caldwell; brothers Jeffrey and Christopher and his sister Caitlin; maternal grandparents, Billy and Sherley Boothe of Seguin, Texas; and paternal grandmother, Melba Johnson from Calif.; numerous aunts and uncles; his best friend, Dale Sharp of College Station who was like a brother and guardian angel throughout the years. The funeral will be held at 1 pm, Sunday, Oct.27, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 501 Mustang St., Caldwell, Texas 77836. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to a charity of choice in his name. Andrew loved furthering his education, art, animals and church.
