VOLTA, Luis Alberto July 14, 1941 - September 28, 2013 Luis Alberto Volta, loving father, son, brother, born in Santiago, Chile and was one of 10 siblings. Volta was very outgoing and adventurous; traits that lead him to serve honorably in the Chilean Navy where he acquired his love of travel and what brought him to the United States, where after his first visit to America Volta knew his ultimate goal was to be an American citizen and to live the American dream and to raise his family in the USA. Volta decided he would learn to read, write and speak the English language prior to arriving in the USA; he described this as his way of showing respect to the best country in the world. After acquiring his American citizenship Volta started a small business, proudly settled in Lancaster, California, with his wife and raised their son who is a firefighter /paramedic and daughter, entrepreneur and councilwoman. Volta was a very proud man, believed in continuing education, very devoted to his church and family and most of all he always had advice for everyone and was more than happy to give it to you. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and how he would laugh as loud and long at his own jokes as the person he was entertaining; his classic style and his Ricky Ricardo laughter will remain in the hearts of his family and friends as will his famous quotes, his love of life, love of family and determination to complete whatever started. Luis Alberto Volta was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years (Angela) and was still attempting to reconcile his loss; the reunion can now begin for the couple that loved to dance the Tango and stare into one another's eyes as he sang off key.
