JONES, Liesa Lea
JONES, Liesa Lea (Lemons, Mitchell) Liesas life here on earth came to an end at home surrounded by her family on September 19, 2013. She made a courageous and painful seven month battle with lung cancer. Liesa was born on May 10, 1952 in Bakersfield, Calif. Her career included various jobs as a bartender, waitress, cosmetologist and homemaker. She has worked at the AVI, Sand Sailor, Moose Lodge, Player's Club, Thrifty Coffee Shop and other salons and establishments throughout the Antelope Valley. She spent several years working at the Lancaster Beauty School as a receptionist/ instructor where she became affectingly known to the students as Miss Liesa. For the last eleven and half years, she spent her time at home raising her twins, Steven Lee and Bailey Marie Jones. Her hobbies were needlework, silk screening, painting, hand bags, jewelry and tending to her rose, flower and solar gardens. Her greatest hobby in life was shopping, be it info commercials, junk mail, QVC or just walking through a store, she always found something that she just had to purchase. She is survived by her husband of 27 years and companion of 35 years, Jimmy L. Jones; three children, Steven and Bailey of Rosamond, and daughter Frances Evonne Lemons of Los Osos, Calif. Her mother, Marie Dalton of Oakdale, Calif., sisters Nora Edwards (Jim) of Oakdale, Calif., Shavon Louden of Rosamond Calif., Nona Flores (Gus) of Riverbank, Calif., brothers Doyle Mitchell (Pam) of Paso Robles, Calif., Clarence Mitchell of Bakersfield, Calif., and Christopher Mitchell of Bakersfield, Calif. She is also survived by Janice Johnson of San Luis Obispo, Calif. whom she was known as Mom 2 for over thirty years and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other numerous relatives and friends. There are no words in our vocabulary that can convey how much she will be missed until we are all together again. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be conducted.
