HEARN, James Stephen 59, of Quartz Hill was called home on August 26, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born to the late James and Marion, on October 8, 1953, in Michigan. Jim graduated from Canyon High School in 1972 and was indentured as an apprentice carpenter in 1973. He married Linda Lloyd in 1976, and they settled in Antelope Valley. Jim was a General Superintendent for Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company until the Lord took him home. He was passionate about his job and his commitment to excellence will live on through the work he accomplished at the Getty Center Museum and the Ronald Reagan Air Force One Pavilion. Jim was an active member of Westside Christian Fellowship and was saved in 1981. He actively shared fellowship with his family and friends and thrived in the light of Christ. He was deeply loved and respected by his peers. Jim is survived by his wife Linda Hearn of Quartz Hill, Calif. Three sisters: Linda Elford (Jim); Kate Kearns (Pat); Patsy. Four children and their spouses: Amanda and Benjamin Griffin of Abilene, Texas; Jimmie and Jillian Hearn; Travis Hearn; and Marissa and Isaac Tatevossian all of Quartz Hill, Calif. He is also survived by four grandsons; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be extremely missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Westside Christian Fellowship -Events (Kid's Camp). P.O. Box 3486, Quartz Hill, CA 93536.
