DOROW, Richard Addington
DOROW, Richard Addington May 16, 1951~June 23, 2013 Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Son, and Friend to many. Richard was born in Berwyn, Ill. and died June 23, 2013, at Palmdale Regional Medical Center. Leaves behind brothers Melvin, Tom, and Paul Dorow, sisters Elizabeth Sorenson and Diane Dorow Masi, sons Damien, Brandon and Kyle Dorow, four precious grandsons; Kendal 16, Ty 8, Shaun 3, and Jaxon 1, and Michele, mother to their three sons. Preceded in death by our father Melvin Harold Dorow and mother Frances Elizabeth Dorow. Our family grew up in La Crescenta, Calif. Richard served in the United States Army from Oct. 1969 to July 1971, and was Honorably Discharged. Friend too many, Rich had an ease about him that made many feel that they were in fact his family. Rich played and coached baseball for many years for his sons and received many awards for his dedication from the Lake Los Angeles Athletic Association. He recently bought a 68 Pontiac Firebird to restore with his brother. Richard retired due to his illness after 28 years with the United States Postal Service. Richard had a walking route and met many people that will remember him fondly; others may giggle at his antics. Richard had extended family of friends here in the Victor Valley and in the Antelope Valley Area Bless all of you; Richard Dorow will be Greatly missed and always Loved by those who knew him. Memorial will be held at La Crescenta Park later this month.
