SHUCK, Maxine
SHUCK, Maxine Born, Gladys Maxine on August 6, 1932, in Valentine, Nebraska to Carl and Gladys (Riley) Bristol; She lived in Nebraska, Wyoming, and Oregon prior to moving and growing up in the Fontana, California area. Maxine located to Lancaster when she married Loren 'Shorty' Shuck. She leaves behind her husband, Loren, her sister, Mary Learmont, and children Joanna (Doug) Gaudi, James (Susan) Bonner, Michael (Connie) Shuck and David (Kim) Shuck. Maxine worked as a certified Dental Assistant and office manager for several Dentists in the valley. She retired in 1987, and was able to enjoy camping with family and friends. She crocheted Afghans, made flower arrangements for weddings as well as serving in several positions including President of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society Auxiliary. Her leadership skills and compassionate care for others will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Lancaster Presbyterian Church, 1661 W. Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster.
