PEAK IV, John Robert
PEAK IV, John Robert 42, passed on June 8, 2013, surrounded by family and friends. John was born Dec. 14, 1970, at Ft. Bragg, N.C., to John and Sally (Youngberg) Peak. Music John's passion and a huge part of his life. He was consistently recognized for his skill as an outstanding tubist. John participated in several of Palmdale High Schools music programs before graduating in 1989. He attended VIC and while in college, he taught music at local elementary schools, often as a volunteer. John sang lead vocals for his band 'the Pinups'. He was employed by LA County for 12 years. Johns legacy is the lifelong friends he was able to make along the way. He enriched the lives of everyone with whom he came in contact. His accepting, open, and friendly nature, along with his easy going demeanor made him an instant trusted confidant. His unwavering commitment to each and every one of them was extraordinary. He is survived by his parents, John and Sally Peak, his brother, Brian Peak, nieces Brianna and Disney Peak; nephews Brian and Jonathan Peak, all of Palmdale, Calif., best friends Ran and Dana Hooper, of Lancaster, Calif. Cremation afforded by the Neptune Society. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
