McLAUGHLIN, Brian Michael Ang
McLAUGHLIN, Brian Michael 'Angus' Born Nov. 11, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa to Clarence and Florence McLaughlin. Passed away June 18, 2013, in Rosamond, Calif. Raised in Adel and Ottumwa, Iowa, attending schools in both cities. Served U.S. Army in Korea Oct. 1952 to Sept. 1955. Graduate of Long Beach State 1962, and again 1990. Came to Lancaster in the mid 1980s after traveling many parts of the world including Hawaii, China, Mexico, Germany, Vietnam, Japan, Ireland, and visited many states in the U.S. as well. For the latter part of his career he taught at various local high schools in the AV predominantly at QHHS until his retirement. Brian was predeceased by his parents, infant sister Mary, brother Jerry and his wife Barbara. Survived by brother Dave (Shirley Riley), and sisters Gail (Roger) Kinnard, Kathleen (Tom) Peters, Carol (Dale) Carriere and Jan (Tom) Barnebey. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that he was close to and spent many holidays and vacations with throughout the years. Brians family and the many close friends he made along his travels, loved him dearly and will miss him. As per his wishes, Brian was cremated and there will be a Memorial of his life at 3 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013, at Mumaw Funeral Home, 44663 N. Date Ave., Lancaster, Calif.
