WALTHER, Leo C. Born January 20, 1934, at Los Angeles County Hospital. Passed away suddenly on June 4, 2013, in Lancaster, Calif. Leo served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954, where he received several service medals. He lived in Sunland, Calif., for almost 50 years where he owned and operated Milan's Liquor and served in the Lion's Club and Chamber of Commerce. He was a charter member of La Canada Country Club. In 1996, Leo relocated to Lancaster, Calif., where he faithfully served at Lancaster Baptist Church and West Coast Baptist College until the morning of his death. Leo is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn; his children, Cyndy Nicholson, Susie (Tom) Klein, Craig (Karrie) Walther, and Karen (Bob) Hermanson. 'Papa' also leaves his many grandchildren: Scott Nicholson, Amber Casey, Sierra Mitchell, Meghan and Hunter Klein, Nicholas and Chase Walther, Danielle Weber, and Logan, Austen and Landon Hermanson; and great- granchildren: Quinton, Payton, Taylor and Easton Casey; Gage and Jace Mitchell; and Alex Weber. In lieu of flowers, please consider gifts that could be used to bless his many other 'grandchildren' at West Coast Baptist College.
