CHAVEZ, Angelina G. (Angie)
CHAVEZ, Angelina G. (Angie) Was born January 8, 1939, in Los Angeles, California. She met our Lord on May 5, 2013, in Anaheim, California, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Diaz Gonzales, and Lydia Terrien Gonzales, and her daughter Denise Chavez Turner. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Hensley, son Dennis Chavez (Alison), three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her twin sister Magdelina G. Villarreal (Robert) of Palmdale, nephews Lewis (Sondra) and Leonard (Jenny) Ramirez and niece Leila (Larry) Nethercott and grand nieces and nephews, also her beloved cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, on both sides of the family. Angie grew up in East Los Angeles, and attended Stevenson Jr. High, and Garfield High School. She became a LVN and Surgical LVN, a career which she truly loved and was proud of. Angie loved to travel, and with her family and parents, she vacationed in many cities and several countries. She came to live the Antelope Valley in 1995, and only left when her illness forced the move. While here, she met and made many friends. Angie truly was unique, and will never be forgotten by her family and friends. Her wit and good humor will be in our hearts forever. A special thank you to the employees of Leisure Court Nursing Center, who provided her care in her last years. Funeral services have been entrusted to Rose Hills Memorial Park. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at Rose Hills Hillside Chapel.
