DAVIS, Winifred Winnie
DAVIS, Winifred 'Winnie' Born Oct. 13, 1921, in Brewster, Kansas. Passed away May 13, 2013, in Lancaster, Calif. She has lived in the Antelope Valley for 53 years. Winnie is a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Winnie worked at the Lancaster Library for 25 years and retired at age 72. She loved music and was a musician as well as a songwriter. Hilltop Records in Hollywood has recorded five of her songs. Winnie loved the Lord with all of her heart and was loved by many people. Winnie is survived by two brothers, children, Ron Davis (Donna) of San Antonio, Texas, Twila Blanchard (Guy) of Lancaster, Calif., grandchildren Julie, Kevin, Aaron, Adam, and Andrea, great-grandchildren, Clayton, Victoria, Alex, Chelsea, Andrew, Chase, Grayson and Elena . Preceded in death by her husband Garry Davis. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Living Way Church, K-6 & Challenger Way.
