Obituary Notices and Memorials

BOUDREAUX, Annie 85, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2013, at home with her family. Annie was born August 22, 1927, in Ouchita City, Louisiana. Her family left their farm in Arkansas in 1943, and settled in the Antelope Valley. During her life she was fortunate enough to be happily married twice, each lasting more than 25 years. She had many wonderful experiences. A hard working, determined woman, she worked for years for the Hinkley School District, and also in other office settings, but her biggest job was as a mother and homemaker. During her second marriage she lived overseas and was able to travel extensively in Europe and Asia. Those who knew her remember her loving to entertain family and friends. She loved games of all kinds, and enjoyed a good joke. After suffering a massive stroke in 1987, her abilities were limited, but her will was not. Annie was preceded in death by her husband's Freeman Welsh, and Ronald Boudreaux, as well as her siblings Earl Taunton, Melvin Taunton, and Muriel Wilkson. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Sally (Steve) Lappe, Sandra (Paul) Lyon, and Myles (Charissa) Welsh. She was able to enjoy seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren before she passed. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2013, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary; 808 E. Lancaster Blvd.
