BURNETT, Edwin Lee
BURNETT, Edwin Lee Born January 11, 1927, in Stephenville, Texas. Passed away April 14, 2013, in Tehachapi, California at his assisted living home, Mulberry Place. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2000, fought the good fight till the end. Edwin joined the Marines in 1945, and retired in 1964. He then worked for the L.A. County Sheriffs Department retiring in 1977, finally working 11 years at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska for ARCO Security. He loved his home in Lancaster where he lived for 45 years. He was a strong man, loved working, and always took care of his family. Preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jo in 2001. Survived by four children; Linda Templeton, JoBelle Dumas, Janet Stelter, Nathan Burnett and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, cousins, nieces, nephews and a lifetime of treasured friends. The family would like to thank all of Dads many doctors, all the angels of Mulberry Place Assisted Living and Optimal Hospice Care. Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Well miss you, we love you Daddy, Pop, Big Dad, Biggy D., Sonny Boy and 'Well be seeing you in all the old familiar places...'
