OTT, Jimmie Ray On April 14, 2013 our loving Lord took Jimmie Ray Ott home to heaven. Jimmie loved the Lord. He was born January 21, 1942, in Sanger, California to Basil and Gertha Ott. Jimmie graduated from Mojave High School in 1959, and married Sherry Balentine in 1964. He was drafted into the Armed Forces in 1964, and served in Vietnam until 1966. Jimmie worked for Standard Oil, Cal Portland and the Mojave Unified School District as a school bus driver before retiring in 2004. All who knew and loved him will miss our beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Jimmie is survived by his wife of 49 years Sherry Ott, his three children, Jeffrey Ott, Robbie Ott, and Heidi Anderson, his mother Gertha Ott, brother Don Ott, sister Wynona Abber, sister Anita Phillips and seven grandchildren. Services are scheduled April 24, 2013, at Wayside Chapel Community Church 2584 Felsite Avenue, Rosamond, Calif. Times for viewing are 9 a.m. Celebration of Jimmies life is scheduled for 10 a.m. Following the service a Military burial will take place at 2 p.m., at Veterans Memorial National Cemetery in Arvin.
