KINSINGER, John June 10, 1929~April 12, 2013 John loved the manned space program and flying airplanes. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley as a mechanical engineer, his first job was with the Mercury program. John continued working on the Apollo program and retired after the completion of the Space Shuttle program. He earned his private pilot license after serving in the Korean War. After retirement, John had time to pursue his hobby of building and flying radio controlled model airplanes with the Antelope Valley Tailwinds, Inc. John is survived by his wife, Derelle; two sons, Christian and Kurt Kinsinger; daughter, Judith Martin; and two grandsons, Ben and Kyle Dang. His wish to participate in the Donor Gift for Life Program was fulfilled. John's spirit is now free to soar with the wind.
