LOOPER, Michael M., D.C. Born June 26, 1940, in South Gate, Calif. Passed away April 5, 2013, in Lancaster, Calif. Michael is survived by his wife Sydney, children Payge Vangor, Charles Looper, Carole Dueitt (Bob), Robin Akers (Dion), Sheree Kay, Tracee Brissey, Chuck and Juanita Forrest, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. Michael is preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth. Michael earned his Bachelor in Science degree and Doctorate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1989. His 22 year career ended with retirement in January, 2013. Michael was currently a chapter director with California Chiropractic Association, an active member of the Lancaster Phun Time Cruisers car club and Knights of Columbus. Past memberships include: Kiwanis and Lions clubs and Palmdale Chamber of Commerce. Michael received numerous commendations for his valued contributions to church and community involvement. Michaels gift of healing through Chiropractic will be truly missed. He was a great friend to many and loved by all. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 15, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 565 W. Kettering, Lancaster. A Celebration of life will follow at Knights of Columbus Hall, 719 West Ave M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michaels name to Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart, 920 E. Alhambra Road, Alhambra, CA 91801-2799.
