Obituary Notices and Memorials

AGUILA, Lola Born June 24, 1914, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Passed away March 31, 2013, at her home in Lancaster. Survived by her husband of 66 years John, daughters Emma Dominguez, Lolita Wedertz, son John Aguila, Jr., 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. What a beloved woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and lest we forget she was an unequaled cook of Puerto Rican cuisine. As the 99 year old matriarch of our family, she instilled in all of us the life lessons of how to lead a loving, caring, joyful close knit family by her example. We carry on her legacy by doing the same with our own extended families. Thank you so much, my wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Youll forever be missed and so loved with all our hearts and strength. Until we meet again. Services will be held at a future date at Holy Cross Mortuary, Culver City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hoffman Hospice, Palmdale.
