WILBURN, Larry Hugh
WILBURN, Larry Hugh Died in an off road motorcycle accident on March 4, 2013, while on vacation at Alamo Lake, Arizona. He was born on June 3, 1937, in Grants Pass, Ore. Larry worked at Edwards AFB for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle and ATV riding and riding or driving his mules and horse. Wagon trains were also of interest to him and he has participated in many, he built a covered wagon to use in the trains. Larry (commonly known as 'Uncle Larry') and his wife Georgia spent their summers at Greenhorn Ranch pulling the wagon with their team of mules and helping the ranch in many ways. He leaves behind his wife Georgia, his brother and wife Ralph and Trish Wilburn of Green Horn Ranch, his sister Peggy Wilburn of Janesville, Calif., his son and wife Greg and Karen Wilburn of Newbury Park, Calif., his daughter Sherry Wilburn of Coos Bay, Ore., step-children Sherry Smith of Palmdale, Curtis Coakley of Rosamond, and Brian Coakley of Bishop, Calif., grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also nephews Tracy Wilburn and John Treat both of Quincy, Calif., and niece Melody Cramer of Denver, Colo. Preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Audrey Wilburn and his daughter Cindy Baxa. Larry will be remembered as a man who could fix anything, who loved his animals, the outdoors, his family and his many friends. Celebration of Larry Wilburns life will be held at 3 p.m., March 30, 2013, at Palmdale Supercycle, 39010 Carriage Way, Palmdale, Calif.
