DENNY, Vernon Evans
DENNY, Vernon Evans Died in Denver, Colorado on January 28, 2013, after a lengthy illness. He was 96 years old. Mr. Denny was the son of the late Truman and Edna Denny. He is survived by his wife Shirley Denny of Morrison, Colorado. His three surviving children are Gail Marjarum Thompson of Columbia, Maryland, Clark Denny of Morrison, Colorado, and Robin Anderson of Littleton, Colorado, six grandchildren and his step-children Marsha Kovach and Merna Martinez of the Denver area and Garry Moses of Glendale, California. He was predeceased by his first wife Carol and son Michael. Mr. Denny attended Pasadena City College. He played clarinet in the Bull Dog Band in the Rose Parade. He founded and operated Denny Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Co., for 53 years in Pasadena and Lancaster. He served as Lieutenant in the Search and Rescue Unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department for 20 years. He taught HVAC engineering at Cal Poly and was given an honorary degree there. Mr. Denny and first wife Carol were founding member of Desert Haven School (ARC). He was a life member of NRA active primarily at the Whittington Center at Raton, New Mexico and member of BPOE, and Elegant Cruisers Motorhome Club.
