GROVEN, Dennis Born Feb. 13, 1925, in Park River, N. Dakota. Passed away Feb. 8, 2013, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in N. Dakota. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. Dennis has lived in the Antelope Valley 64 years, where he was a electrical contractor and farmer. He enjoyed water skiing and Antique Cars. He was involved in numerous Civic and Community organizations, Farm Bureau, VFW, American Legion and Elks. He is survived by his wife Marjorie Groven, daughter Deanna Lunden of Havasu City, Ariz., step-son Rick Sawyer of Walnut, Calif., step-daughters Chrissy Bartridge of Palos Verdes, Calif., and Dianne Thompson (Richard) of Castaic, Calif. Also survived by two sisters, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be private. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. A reception will follow services at the Elks Lodge on Ave K in Lancaster.
