LOVITT, Donald Keith
LOVITT, Donald Keith Born Jan. 5, 1926, in Lyman, Neb, to Claude and Sarah Elizabeth (Richardson) Lovitt, he was the youngest of twelve brothers and sisters. Passed away following a series of prolonged illnesses on Jan. 25, 2013, at Antelope Valley Care Center. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1943, where he served in the South Pacific as a Petty Officer Third Class. After serving in the Navy, he had two of the most significant opportunities of his life; He married Leola, his wife of fifty years and joined Security First National Bank (now Bank of America) as a teller. He began to move his way up in the banks branch system reaching the position of Branch Manager. He later transitioned into the Corporate Headquarters Office in the Corporate and Executive Security Department. In 1972, he graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking in Dallas, Texas and became the First Vice President of Corporate and Executive Security. After forty-three years with the bank he retired in 1990. Survived by his son Christopher Lovitt (Gloria), daughter Cynthia 'Cindy' Fouts (Rob), four grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren. He now joins his wife of 50 years Leola (Denton) Lovitt who passed way January 12, 1998. A private funeral service and burial was held on Feb. 1, 2013, at Rose Hills Cemetery, Whittier, Calif.
