ULBERG, Mark Stanley Was born June 9,1949, in Burbank, California and died Jan. 10, 2013, in Lancaster after a long battle with stomach cancer. He was the president of Petro Lock, Inc. in Lancaster. After graduating from Antelope Valley High School in 1968, Mark immediately went to work for his father, Wayne Ulberg, at Petro Lock Inc. Initially managing the company's tire division, Mark worked for Petro Lock all his adult life eventually attaining the position of president of the company and of the company's aviation subsidiary Air Petro Corp. A lifelong sports enthusiast and athlete, Mark played both basketball and football in high school, and was a standout competitive fast-pitch softball player for the Petro Lock-sponsored team. Two of Mark's more memorable trips took him to the Lahinch, Tralee, Waterville, and Ballybunion golf courses in Ireland, and the Western Gailes golf course in Scotland. A great thrill for Mark involved a chance to attend several Masters Golf Tournaments and play practice rounds at the venerable course in Augusta, Georgia. Mark hit a remarkable four holes-in- one over the course of many years as a long-standing member of the Antelope Valley Country Club where he was a celebrated and much loved member of 'The Gaggle.' And Mark was awarded in appreciation for his duties as a member of the Board of Directors for the Country Club - a post he held for several years. Mark was a devoted husband and father.
