CRIST, Gerald A. 'Jerry' 1932 ~ 2012 Gerald was born August 17, 1932, to Ernest and Leta Crist in Heartshorne, Oklahoma. He went to join them in the house of the Lord on December 30, 2012, in Lancaster, California.Jerry, along with his five siblings Kenny, Elester, Julian, Donny, and Wilma, grew up in Reedley, California. It was there that he met and married his wife, of 57 years, Perella Fithen. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He went on to graduate from Healds Collage while working at the Presidio of San Francisco. Later he became a pilot before moving to Lancaster, California.Jerry went to work at Edwards FAA, where he retired after 50 years of government service. Together Jerry and Perella had three children. Kathy (William) Lowenthal, Sue (Kris) Knobelauch, Michael (LaRae) Crist, eight grandchildren, Kim, Nicole, Kasey, Kristin, Laura and 14 great-grandchildren. To us he was more than a father, grandfather and great-grandfather he was our 'Honey.' A Chapel service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2013, at Halley Olsen Murphy, 44802 Date Avenue, Lancaster California. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013, at Cairns Funeral Home, 940 F Street Reedley, California. The Interment will take place at Smith Mountain Cemetery, Dinuba, California.
