KING, Mildred Adaline Lasley
KING, Mildred Adaline Lasley Passed away peacefully at home at the age of 92 with her husband of 73 years by her side. She was born in Grandfield, Okla., moved to California after getting married. Ada loved her family, cooking, gardening, walking at the mall, and going to church. She generously opened her home for numerous family gatherings over the years. She is survived by her husband Jack, her sister Maxine Spencer, her children Clara King, Jay King (Diane), Dennis King, Brenda LaFleur (Ron) and Philip King, daughter-in-law Donna King, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews all with whom she left a lasting legacy of love, gentleness, bravery and a positive outlook. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Rohl Lasley, her brother, Rohl Lasley Jr. and her son, Donald King. There will be a viewing from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Halley Olsen Murphy, Lancaster. A mass will be said for her at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church in Lancaster, followed by the graveside service at Joshua Memorial Cemetery. Ada had a heart of gold, and for 92 years, she was a blessing on earth. Now, she is rejoicing in Heaven.
